A perfect English summer’s afternoon?
Sure, everyone’s idea of a perfect English summer’s afternoon is different. For some, it’s gliding on a punt down the Cherwell; for others, it’s Notting Hill Carnival.
But this one works for me: an afternoon in the sunshine, watching cricket.
To be honest, it’s not so much watching cricket as just being present while cricket is being played.
This episode of Hello You the Shropshire podcast brings you an hour of the sounds of a cricket ground, during a match on the hottest Saturday afternoon of the year so far.
