Conversations from a Shrewsbury Pride Picnic in the Quarry [Park].
Hear from people who’ve moved to Shropshire from Barcelona, the Philippines, Venezuela, Spain and Wales - where do they prefer?

why do so few specifically-queer songs have happy lyrics?

how it feels to realise you’re the only person of colour around

My thanks to Phil Davies and Shrewsbury Pride for inviting me to their event to gather people’s thoughts and stories. If you’ve got something coming up where I could do the same, let me know?
I’d love to know what you think of this - or any - episode of Hello You. Leave a comment?
And share Hello You with your friends, colleagues, lovers, that person on the bus who looks like they need something interesting to listen to?
Tomorrow (Tuesday June 11th) I’ll be at Mumma’s Emporium - as heard on a previous episode! It’s a cafe and antiques-and-collectables shop on Pride Hill in Shrewsbury. It’s over Vision Express; go through the door on the right between Vision Express and Hotel Chocolat and up the stairs. I’ll be on a sofa, recording conversations in the same way as I was at the Pride Picnic on Saturday. So if you’d like to chat about anything at all, sit down and say hello? I’m a good listener!
Thank you for being art of the Hello You family. Take care of yourself, and take care of the people around you.
