Soon these evenings will be just a memory … until next year
Is the last weekend of August also the last weekend of summer?
This weekend feels quite autumnal; showers, cooler than of late, and it’s not hard to imagine the imminence of winter.
If you’re still clinging on to summer, this soundscape from Hello You the Shropshire podcast will help you, I hope.
Before I tell you about it: Apologies for the unusually long gap between episodes of the podcast. I’ve had a very busy two or three weeks which have rather taken it out of me, not helped by my running out of some medication and being without it for a week in the middle of that period. So, the more I wanted to bring you an episode of Hello You, the less capable I was of doing so.

Anyway … the first exciting thing to tell you is that I have a whole stack of fascinating interviews with wonderful people already recorded, which I’m looking forward to sharing with you as soon as I can.
And the second exciting thing is that I’ve got a diary packed with dates to record more compelling conversations with engaging individuals from across Shropshire. And I need to arrange some more ‘bench’ sessions, to capture random conversations with whomsoever sits next to me. Suggestions for places I can go to do that, as always, are very welcome.
So this would be a really great time to subscribe to Hello You the Shropshire podcast!
I know you already have, that’s why you’re reading this, but maybe you could mention the idea to a friend or two? You’re bound to know other people who’d enjoy intelligent, informed, progressive, curious and occasionally quirky conversation for and about Shropshire and the wider world. Just drop Hello You into conversation sometime? Or click on this big green button:

Thank you to Karen Stringer for the idea for this soundscape episode of Hello You the Shropshire podcast.
You might remember Karen’s appearance on an episode of Hello You last summer; the notorious Orange Envelope of Doom episode. Karen suggested I could record a soundscape of the weekly bellringing practice at Holy Trinity Church, Meole Brace.
