Hello you
How are you? It’s been a tough week for many people in Shrewsbury. If you’ve been touched in any way by last weekend’s tragedy, I hope you know that so many people’s thoughts are with you. Credit to everyone who’s offered comfort to others in any way, through words, actions, support, and to the churches like Shrewsbury Abbey which have offered places of sanctuary from the anguish.
I was going to record some audio and post it this weekend, but neither time nor brain allowed, sorry. And there’s still a feeling of ‘what can you say?’ in the air, about so many things that have been happening recently.
It’s all about stories
However, I’ve got some good stuff coming up over the next week or so.
In the words of recent guest interviewee Phil Davies, it’s all about stories.
And in a couple of days, I’ll share with you the extraordinary story of one local family, in the words of the mother and of the young man who became a viral sensation after an appearance on TV at an early age! There’s much to make you smile, and more to take your breath away. I’ll try to get that to you on Tuesday morning, or Wednesday at the latest, because Friday’s a big day in this family’s calendar … as you’ll hear.
No-one more than any other
Equality’s important. Inclusion’s important. Diversity’s important.
If you’ve got this far, you probably agree with all that already. One of my big take- aways from this is: No-one’s more important than anyone else. Everyone matters.
And that’s very much one of the guiding principles of Hello You. So, expect to hear from people you’ve not heard from before. Expect to hear sounds you’ve not heard - or noticed - before. Don’t be surprised if your boat gets rocked now and again.
Intrigued? On board? Then …

Has as good a week as you can, in the circumstances?
You’ll hear from me again in a few days, and if you want to get in touch for any reason, I’d love to hear from you. Email me, or leave a comment?
